Trailspark + Segment: AI Lead Scoring from Your CDP
Route Segment events to Trailspark as a destination. No event tracking changes, no code deploys, no re-architecture. Your product and web events become AI-scored lead intelligence.
What syncs between Trailspark and Segment
Every field is mapped during setup and updates in real time as scores change or Segment data is updated.
Segment Track Events
← SegmentAny Segment track event with a user ID or email flows into Trailspark as a product usage signal for scoring.
Segment Identify Events
← SegmentIdentify calls feed user traits and firmographics into the ICP evaluation layer.
Segment Group Events
← SegmentGroup calls map users to organizations, feeding the organization-level identity resolution model directly.
Segment Page and Screen
← SegmentPage view and screen view events feed engagement signals without additional instrumentation.
Trailspark Score to Segment
→ SegmentScores written back as Segment identify traits, available downstream to any other destination on your Segment setup.
Use cases
No-code addition of AI scoring to an existing CDP setup
Teams with Segment already installed do not need new tracking code, new SDK versions, or a product engineering cycle. Adding Trailspark is configuration inside Segment and does not touch product code.
Unified scoring across web, product, and mobile
Segment consolidates events from multiple sources. Trailspark scores across all of them together rather than treating each source as a separate signal stream. A user who triggers web intent and mobile product usage in the same week scores higher than either signal alone.
Scoring signals flow downstream to activation tools
Because Segment is already connected to your downstream destinations, Trailspark scores written back as identify traits reach every tool you activate on: email platforms, ad platforms, and the data warehouse. No additional integration work.
Setup
From authentication to first scored contact in under an hour for most teams.
- 1
Add Trailspark as a Segment destination
In Segment, add a new webhook destination pointed at your Trailspark ingestion endpoint. Trailspark provides the endpoint URL and signing secret from the integrations panel.
- 2
Select the events to forward
Choose which track, identify, and group events route to Trailspark. Most teams start by forwarding all product events, then tune the event list once they see what is scoring.
- 3
Map event properties to scoring signals
Trailspark's signal mapper accepts any Segment event shape. Name the signals, weight them by how strongly each predicts conversion in your historical data, or let SparkSense derive weights automatically from closed-won deals.
- 4
Route scores back via Segment identify traits
If you want Trailspark scores to flow to other Segment destinations, enable the identify trait writeback. Scores then appear in downstream tools like Iterable, Braze, or your data warehouse without additional integrations.
