## What syncs between Trailspark and Slack

Alerts travel one way, Trailspark to Slack. You choose which moments post, what each message carries, and which channel it lands in.

Trailspark writes to Slack

- To Slack

    ### Lead score changes

Fires when a person's score changes into a level you select, so you can post only on Hot and stay quiet on the rest.

- To Slack

    ### Account propensity changes

Fires when an account's buying likelihood changes into a level you select. Downward moves count too, and the headline says which way it went.

- To Slack

    ### Newly eligible accounts

The first evaluation under an account's profile, landing at a level you choose. It replaces the propensity alert when both would fire, so one moment posts one message.

- To Slack

    ### A promising account goes quiet

Activity stalls at a high-potential account. The account that was going to close on its own, right up until it stopped.

- To Slack

    ### Buying group comes together

The group moves up a stage, or a role you were missing finally appears. Shown for workspaces tracking buying groups.

- To Slack

    ### The details you pick

Industry, company size, region, buying likelihood, engaged and missing roles, plan, seats, monthly revenue, last active, and the AI's reasoning. Choose the ones your team acts on and leave the rest out.

### Want to ask Trailspark a question in Slack?

Asking from Slack, with an @mention or a slash command, is on the roadmap. Today alerts run one way, though you can already ask your workspace questions in plain English from Claude or another MCP client using [Agent Access](https://docs.trailspark.ai/docs/agent-access-overview).

## Use cases

### Send each team only its own accounts

Route [every profile's alerts](https://docs.trailspark.ai/docs/icp-overview) to the channel that owns it, and give a profile its own rules when it needs them: alert on any propensity change for new business, but only on High for expansion. An account that matches more than one profile alerts under the one it is actively scored against.

### Interrupt with the reason, not just the name

An account name in a channel is a ticket to go dig. Trailspark posts the written reasoning behind the score alongside the account and product details you chose, so the rep can decide whether to act without opening another tab.

### Watch the buying group assemble in real time

Get a post when [the group moves up a stage](https://docs.trailspark.ai/docs/buying-groups-overview) or the role you were missing finally shows up, so you learn that the economic buyer just appeared while there is still time to do something about it.

## Setup

One OAuth click adds Trailspark to your workspace. The Alerts tab unlocks once it is connected.

1. 1

    ### Add Trailspark to Slack

Authorize the workspace you want alerts in. Trailspark asks for two permissions: post messages, and list your public channels so you can pick one.

2. 2

    ### Choose the moments worth interrupting for

Turn on the alerts that matter and pick the levels each one fires at. Everything left off stays silent.

3. 3

    ### Point each one at a channel

Set a default channel, then override it per alert or per profile. A live preview shows the message, and you can test it against a real account before anyone else sees it.

### Connect Slack with Trailspark step by step

Our docs cover connecting the workspace, every alert and the levels it fires on, per-ICP routing and trigger overrides, the quiet period, the attribute picker, and sending a test.

## Common questions

###

[Two permissions](https://docs.trailspark.ai/docs/slack-alerts): posting messages, and listing your public channels so the channel pickers have something to show. Trailspark posts into the channels you choose and does not read your conversations.

###

Five: a lead's score changing into a level you select, an account's buying likelihood changing into a level you select, an account becoming newly eligible under a profile, a promising account going quiet, and the buying group coming together. Turn on any combination, and each one can have its own channel.

###

Yes. [Each profile](https://docs.trailspark.ai/docs/icp-overview) can post to its own channel, and can also carry its own trigger rules instead of the global ones, so one team hears about every propensity change while another only hears about the top tier. Channel choice is checked profile first, then the alert's own channel, then your default.

###

No. A quiet period sets the minimum gap between alerts for the same account, so a busy account cannot post repeatedly. If that account starts being scored under a different profile, the new one tracks its own quiet period rather than inheriting the old one's.

###

Yes. A live preview updates as you pick attributes, and once you save you can send a test message to the channel, either with sample data or against a real account from your workspace so it reflects details your team recognizes.

###

No. [Slack is a destination](https://docs.trailspark.ai/docs/destinations-overview), and the connection runs one way. Nothing posted or discussed in Slack becomes a signal, and disconnecting stops the posts without touching any of your data or your other integrations.

###

Trailspark is billed on the unique accounts it evaluates each month, not seats or CRM contacts. Every plan is the full platform, Free included; see [pricing](https://www.trailspark.ai/pricing) for the tiers, or [talk to us](https://www.trailspark.ai/contact) about custom volume.
